Coming Full Circle Winners Honored at Merrick's Mix and Mingle

Congratulations to Merrick's 2015 Coming Full Circle Award Winners. From left are: Avis Gadley, winner of the Client Achievement Award; Jeremy Sartain, winner of the Community Service Award; Merrick Executive Director Daniel Rodriguez; and Kyle Findlay, winner of the Youth Volunteer Award. The awards ceremony on October 22 at the Wacouta in Saint Paul was part of the annual Merrick Mix and Mingle fundraiser. A packed house of more than 200 friends of Merrick attended to make this event one of the most successful in Merrick history.

After a brutal night of suffering at the hands of her abuser, Avis Gadley turned to Merrick Community Services for help. She credits Merrick for turning her life and the lives of her children in the right direction.

Serving Saint Paul’s East Side since 1908, Merrick Community Services serves nearly 15,000 people a year, with a valued history of assisting individuals and families in transitioning from poverty to independence.

Programming is currently offered at primarily four different locations:

·        Administration, Employment Services, Family Services, 965 Payne Avenue – Suite 300

·        Food Shelf and Senior Programs at Woodland Hills, 1740 Van Dyke Street

·        After-School Youth Program at various sites on the East Side.
