Merrick’s food shelf serves 50 families a day. 

Would you like to receive food from the food shelf?

To ensure fairness and to prevent the need to arrive early, all eligible participants will enter their name into a drawing for numbers 1-50. You may enter the drawing 30 minutes prior to distribution.  Please do not arrive earlier.  If your name is not called during the lottery for the day please return on our next business day. 

Food Shelf Schedule:

Monday: Names entered into lottery upon arrival at 2:30pm.  Food distribution begins at 3:00pm.
Wednesday: Names entered into lottery upon arrival at 9:30am.  Food distribution begins at 10:00am.
Thursday: Names entered into lottery upon arrival at 9:30am.  Food distribution begins at 10:00am.

How to access the Food Shelf:

  • Serving Maplewood residents and St. Paul residents that live in Merrick Community Services’ service area.  (Please call 651-287-2088 for more details on eligibility)
  • Please remember to bring proof of address and ID for each person in the family-Medical cards, Social Security cards, Birth Certificates, Drivers License, Country ID, School ID, etc.
  • Eligible participants may use the Food Shelf once every calendar month.

Merrick food shelves serve East Side families in need. Donations are accepted during business hours. Please call ahead of time to schedule a donation.
