INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Looking to meet new people or better understand the complex problems facing our community? Have a knack for playing with kids or chatting with seniors? Volunteer!
We are especially looking for volunteers to assist us at our new food shelf. Work as a shopper, stockers, or greeter.
Meals on Wheels
Help keep seniors independent in their own homes! Deliver meals once a week or once a month, on your own timeline, alone or with a friend! Delivery usually takes less than an hour. We'll accomodate your schedule to be convenient for you, but you have to provide your own car.
Help with Kids Cafe, homework help, or work on structured activities. Monday - Friday, 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Both individuals and small group support are encouraged!
Other Youth Services
Mentor a child in your community. MCS provides year-round programs for youth ages 5-17. Want more information? Contact our Youth program staff at 651-771-9339, and we'll help you find your place!

GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Need Service Hours? Boy and Girl Scouts, church confirmation requirements, and school service requirements can all be accommodated through the many volunteer opportunities at MCS!
Merrick Community Services would love to help your worksite or school volunteer in the Eastside community.
Call to set up a one-day or long-term volunteer commitment.
Some group opportunties include:
- Holiday Sharing phonebank
or collect and distribute toys and food baskets - Staff our phone bank
- Administrative assistance

INTERNSHIPS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
Build your resume, make professional connections, and gain real-world experience while working and serving with your Saint Paul neighbors. Merrick Community Services (MCS) has internships available for interested college students throughout the school year and summer months. MCS internships provide students with valuable experiences and opportunities to work in the nonprofit sector. Students are assigned real work responsibilities - from programming and research to marketing, communications and administration. Several internship models are available.
