Volunteer
Opportunities
It takes strong partnerships to make it possible for MCS to reach thousands
of Eastside families. Become a MCS partner by offering your time and talents
to help make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Home-Delivered
Meals Driver
Each day, MCS delivers hundreds of noon meals to homebound elderly and
disabled neighbors, making it possible for them to live at home and be
independent. Delivery takes only 1 hour. Use your car to deliver meals
alone or with a friend. Deliver meals once a week or once a month. Schedules
can be arranged to be convenient for you.
Youth Program

involved in positive activities, develop healthy interpersonal skills
and develop into strong, healthy adults. Become a mentor. Help coach a
basketball or soccer team. Help with homework. Work in our Kids Cafe.
If you have a special skill to share, please call and we'll help you find

Seasonal
Opportunities
Holiday Sharing/Toys for Tots
Each winter holiday season, MCS provides toys and food baskets to approximately
2000 Eastside families to help them have a festive holiday celebration.
Without the generosity of our partners and our neighbors, this would not
be possible. Many donate toys to MCS through Toys For Tots and many contribute
money. Volunteers can also staff our phone bank, taking information from
families in need of holiday assistance, or enter that date into our computer
system. Flexible schedules are available late October through mid-December.
Caring Tree
Staff a booth at a local shopping center to collect school supplies in
August. Partner with a friend. Flexible shifts can be arranged.
